Presently accepting reservations for fall 2010. Escape from the city to a cozy waterfront cottage on Sugarloaf Pond. With Spectacular lake and mountain views, ours is a pristine lake (no motor boats) teeming with fish and wildlife. No blue-green algae, the lake is ideal for swimming, canoeing or kayaking. With two touring kayaks and a canoe available, paddle to panoramic lake and mountain views of both Sugarloaf and Owl's head mountains. Bring your fishing gear because the smallmouth bass fishing is excellent. Four pound trophies have been taken casting right off the dock!
Centrally located in the municipality of Potton, we are 10 minutes to Owl's Head mountain which boasts a championship golf course and popular ski hill. Golf and ski Mount Orford, Jay Peak, Ski Sutton, Magog and the picturesque village of Knowlton are all within a half hour drive. In Knowlton' you'll discover antique stores, boutiques, cafes and great restaurants. Want the spa experience? Visit one of the most popular spa locations in the Eastern Townships located in Bolton Center (ten minutes away).
Bromont Water Park, Granby Zoo, and Go Karting are within a half hour drive while a paintball facilility is ten minutes away in Mansonville. The Rocket general store is ten minutes away and is renown for its fresh breads from the bakery Owl's Head. They can easily meet all your grocery needs.
Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers will not be disappointed either. The area is home to various animals including moose, whitetail deer, fox, wild turkeys, etc.. .. .. .. .. ..
Bird lovers? Stand on our deck and view our bird feeding stations which bring a multitude of different species. Chickadees, Goldfinch, Woodpeckers, juncos, tanangers and
bluebirds are all regular visitors. Look across the lake to Sugarloaf mountain and view turkey vultures, red tail hawks and the occasional Osprey as they soar above the treeline.
At the end of the day we invite you to sit ouside by the campfire and gaze at the incredible array of stars. As we're high in the mountains the star gazing is phenomenal on clear evenings, amateur astronomers will literally be in heaven here. Do not be surprised if you're serenaded by the sounds of the Great Gray or Boreal Owl.

Canadian currency accepted. A deposit of 50% is required for reservation. Balance is Due Two Weeks before arrival. A security deposit of $ 100.00 IS required for stays of a week or longer. Upon inspection of the cottage deposit Will Be Returned to the customer.
In case of cancellation, Customers must "give one months notice, Then We Will try to reschedule the dates Canceled. If we are Able to rent the cottage" Canceled "during the dates, the security deposit Will Be Returned to the customer. If we are Unable to rent DURING Said a reservation for a period "later" date Will Be Agreed upon Between the owner and customer. Maximum 5 people. $75.00 per additional person per day.
Monthly rentals and Season Will require "a larger security deposit. This Will Be negociated at time of booking.
We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions at any time without advanced notice.
