Picture this cottage in winter, in the peaceful whiteness of nature, a warm fire crackling in the wood stove... It's the atmosphere you find at Chalet Tamaracouta. This cottage is located in the countryside, on Lake George, about 1 hour from Montreal and 15 minutes from Morin-Heights and Saint-Sauveur. With its 4 bedrooms, it can accommodate 8 people comfortably. A toddler/ baby bed is also available if you need it.
High quality cottage in compliance with the CITQ requirements, you will appreciate its impeccable cleanliness, abundant windows, extensive wood paneling, as well as the exceptional tranquility and beauty of the surrounding wilderness. Moreover, with its comprehensive equipment, it has all the comfort of home.
The dining room can comfortably sit 10 to 12 guests. Kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery are available and in sufficient quantity for you and your guests.
In summer time, the large patio of 37 m² (400 sq ft) is ideal for activities and meals outdoors. A picnic table and an outdoor fireplace are also available. The waterfront property gives direct and private access to the lake. 4 kayaks and 1 canoe are available. In winter time, you will also find snowshoes and sleds. Board games, books and movies are also available for your enjoyment.
The cottage offers a wonderful view on the lake. You can enjoy swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity of Saint-Jérôme, where you can quickly get to the bike path "le P'tit train du Nord".
In winter time, snowshoeing lovers will be spoiled by the beauty of the forest. You can access a cross-country ski and snowshoe trail network nearby in the area of Morin Heights. Downhill skiing can be practiced at Mont Morin Heights (10 km) and Mont Saint-Sauveur (15 km).
For security, allergy and hygiene reasons, the cottage is NO SMOKING and PETS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

| Très bel hiver passé au chalet Tamaracouta. L'endroit est très tranquille avec des voisins sympa et surtout un propriétaire à l'écoute de ses locataires et qui fait en sorte qu'il ne manque de rien.
Accès au lac pour se faire une patinoire ou marcher en raquettes. À proximité du ski Morin Heights et pas très loin du village et commodités.
Le chalet est spacieux et accueillant. Tout y est pour passer du bon temps en famille ou entre amis.

| Nous avons été enchantés dès notre arrivée au chalet Tamaracouta: tout y était impeccable, super bien équipé, un environnement idyllique (Vraiment ZEN!). Propriété spacieuse et suffisante pour deux familles. Notre seule déception était le manque de plage pour la baignade et une vue sur le lac (très joli, propre et sans bateau à moteur). Une suggestion à Germain, le propriétaire très sympa des lieux : faire défricher un peu le sous-bois qui obstrue la vue du lac.
Près des charmantes villes des Laurentides qui offrent tout ce qu'on veut pour les vacances.

| This is our 2nd time renting this cottage with our 2 kids. It's a great location, not too far from the city but tucked in the woods beside a beautiful lake with no motor boats and lots of nature to observe. The cottage is extremely clean and all necessities are provided. There is a small private waterfront, equipped with four kayaks and a canoe along with lifejackets and beach chairs. The lovely thing about this cottage is that almost everything is provided so you need not pack sheets and pillows and blankets, etc... It's a great escape from city life, the lake is beautiful and calm, there is a deck in the middle of it so the kids can jump off. At night you can make a fire and watch the stars, there's a great deck to sit outside where we eat breakfast and supper. Another great feature is that there is a washer and dryer so this helps and not having to pack a lot as well. The owner Germain is very pleasant and always helpful, if you have any questions he's a phone call away and always willing to inform and help. We truly enjoyed our stay last year and we are right in the middle of another fantastic vacation here this year.

| Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au chalet Tamaracouta! Très bon rapport qualité-prix, et communication très facile et rapide avec le propriétaire. Le chalet est propre, cosy et très bien équipé. L'accès au lac est rapide, facile et agréable, et nous avons beaucoup profité des embarcations. Il y a un petit chemin dans les sous-bois qui longe le lac et qui est vraiment très agréable pour se promener! L'environnement est calme et paisible avec beaux couchés de soleil sur le lac, face au chalet et à la plage. Livres pour enfants à disposition ainsi que des jeux et films pour les petits et les grands.
Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

| Wonderful cottage experience! The chalet was large with modern amenities including large washroom. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The lake was small and clean, great for swimming, with no motorboats. The location was so quiet it felt like we had the lake and woods to ourselves. Owner was friendly and the rental went perfectly. We have rented in Quebec for over ten years, this cottage was easily one of our top picks.
