I have been a guest at Chalet Magnifique numerous times, each experience being nothing short of wonderful! Top marks for location, design and functionality, cleanliness, hospitality and the concept itself.
Here, you have autonomy and privacy which most guests seemed to treasure. You can cook in the gourmet kitchen, equipped with beautiful dishes and high end gadgets or you can rely on great local stores and restaurants a short drive away.
My friends and I always choose the first option. The place is simply too beautiful to leave!
You will be seduced by the tranquility of it - the soothing sounds of the brook, the serene pond, the beautiful and very private sun deck . The screened gazebo is a perfect place to relax with a book, the hammock is hard to resist when you're in the mood for a nap.
Feeders scattered throughout the property attract large numbers of birds : chickadees, bluejays, hummingbirds to name a few.
Bad weather should not deter you from booking a stay at Chalet Magnifique.
When you're surrounded by beautiful objects, a vast collection of interesting books, a cozy fire place and comfortable furniture to stretch out on, a little rain seems like a minor inconvenience.
Last but not least : the owners - Elisa and Guy - are amazing! Their vision for this place ( and the other two cottages), their hands-on involvement and continuous upgrades never seizes to amaze me.
Be prepared to want to befriend them!

Stayed here 2 nights at the end of April. Absolutely amazing place. Amazing decor and very functional. So many areas in and around the house to relax. The master bedroom with fireplace and connecting bathroom is better than any hotel room I've ever been in. Elisa was very nice and accommodating. We were a couple with a dog but this place sleeps at least 4 very comfortably. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway

Where do I start?! We had barely gotten back from our stay at Chalet Magnifique that I was already making a reservation for 2017. We were at the chalet for 6 nights this past winter, looking for a break from the city and to spend time close to Nature. As soon as we got into the Chalet we couldn't believe our eyes, we had never stayed in such beautiful, luxurious (and clean!) accommodations before. Everything about the chalet was fantastic, from the gourmet kitchen to the magnificient bathroom with heated floors, the owner didn't leave a single detail out in order to make their guests as comfortable as possible. And the owners are equally charming!

We have stayed once at Chateau Magnifique once and at Chalet Sean twice (so far). All of our stays have been amazing, and in fact we come back to this part of the townships as much for these cottages as for anything else. Whether you explore the mountains nearby or simply stay inside, you'll feel like you've stumbled across an upscale yet rustic retreat in the woods.
You can tell a lot of love and care went in to making, decorating, and furnishing the cottages. They have amazing gourmet kitchens that are well stocked with high quality pots and pans, as well as great knives, dishes, etc. The walls are covered with artwork from around the world, and the bookshelves are stocked full with books ranging from cooking to philosophy. The furniture is cozy and tasteful.
We've always come in the winter but the screened in gazebos look like they'd be a great place to spend summer evenings.
All said, we really do love Chateau Magnifique and Chalet Sean, and have sent several friends who are now also, annual guests.
