| We enjoyed our August week in this lovely country home .....a pleasant stroll into the village...a short walk to the beach for swimming, paddling, kayaking....shallow, fairly warm water --- practical and safe for children....relaxing hot tub followed by marshmallows over the fire ! We would recommend Roger's Place for anyone !

| We fell in love with Chez Roger! The inside was comfortable and well-equipped without being overly cluttered. Both inside and outside offered many options for spreading out and pursuing one's chosen activity -- several comfortable seating areas inside plus multiple options outside, including two decks, a chair hammock, picnic table, double swing with a table, and firepit. The yard is very private and lovely. And it has a charming, enclosed outdoor shower.
The cottage also has location, location, location. It sits at the end of a small private gravel road just off the main road. It's an easy 10-minute walk into town on a peaceful and well-maintained multi-purpose trail. In the other direction, the trail continues a long way, offering excellent options for walking, jogging, or biking. The lake turned out to be designated "clean," meaning that no motorized vehicles are allowed. This ensures a tranquil, experience, free from the noise and waves churned up by motorboats and jet-skis. The owners have a variety of boats that renters can use -- canoe, kayak, row boat, stand-up paddle boat, and a peddalo. The lake is exceeding shallow, which can make swimming a bit of a challenge (perfect for kids), but because there is no danger from motorboats, it's easy to wade or paddle out far enough and then swim. There are also many activities available in the area within easy driving distance.
The owners live next door. They were quick to respond to any questions without intruding.

| Had a bachelorette party here with seven girls. If you are looking for a beautiful getaway from the city, this is it! The place has everything you need and if you need something, all you have to do is ask and it will be provided. The private beach is a short walk away and the view is spectacular. The hot tub was great for the chilly nights. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be returning in the future :)

| Lovely home and very well equipped kitchen. Randy and his grandmother made sure everything went smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and were pleased that it was ready for use. Great location not far from many pretty villages, author Louise Penny's literary inspirations, boutiques, great food and the abbey at Saint Benoit du Lac. Chez Roger deserves its four star rating from the Quebec government registry. We thought that we would love to come back in warm weather to enjoy the swimming and boating.

| This is a lovely cottage that is a very short walk from a beautiful lake and a bike trail that goes on for many, many kilometers. The house is very well equipped and I was able to make a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner using the kitchen supplies that were provided. The owner provides access to kayaks and a pedal boat and is very responsive to inquiries. You should definitely bring bikes to use on the trail. Eastman and its descent sized supermarket and solid butcher are within easy walking distance or a very quick drive. The beautiful town of Magog is a short drive (a little over 10 minutes) away by the highway or some lovely backroads. It is a short ride to lots of great hiking trails. The hot tub is a great place to relax after a hike. Chez Roger is a great base for exploring the Eastern Townships.
