Large open-plan house built on the foundations of a century-old barn on 200 acres of land. Cathedral ceilings, vast spaces, healthy materials (straw bales, clay and wood), phenomenal acoustics, wood-burning stove (wood included), in the midst of tranquil countryside between Bromont and Sutton ski resorts, fire ring, private pond, splendid forest, a birdwatcher's and photographer's paradise.

Children are very welcome. The owner himself raised his two children in this house, and over the years, dozens of children of all ages have stayed here safely. However, it has to be said that we're in the countryside, surrounded by rustic old buildings; the pond is not fenced in; that's the charm of the place. Parents are therefore expected to be vigilant.

The fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with its breakfast counter makes this home ideal for gourmets who love to cook for themselves. The large refectory table, set in the center of a vast space, will host your beautiful group suppers. "Country living at its best!
There is an additional charge of $100 per stay for each pet.
Check-out time is noon. However, it may be possible to use the premises until 4 p.m. if no other rental is scheduled for the same day.
For the holiday season, we would prefer a full-week rental between December 21 and 29, 2023.
Please note that during the summer months, you may have to share certain outdoor areas to which you will have access: the trampoline and the small beach. Two other cottages on the same property are occupied sporadically by long-time friends. However, you can be sure of privacy when you return to the main building, which is very well soundproofed and has its own private balcony and BBQ. There's also a small private outdoor area with a fire ring to the south.
A thousand and one activities nearby. The charming villages of Bromont, Knowlton, Cowansville and Sutton. Bromont, Sutton, Owl's Head and Jay Peak ski resorts, the Wine Route, several golf courses (Inverness, Golf du Lac Brome) and Eastern Townships trails. In winter, snowshoeing and tobogganing are available on site. Lac Brome and its Douglas public beach are only 15 minutes away.
