1 hour from Montreal and 1 hour 30 minutes from Gatineau. Welcome to Chalet Shanti (means peace, calm and serenity). Cozy log cabin with wood fireplace, surrounded by nature in Brownsburg-Chatham. Private and wooded land. Cozy style with a bit of vintage promoting relaxation. Capacity of 7 people or 8 if baby in its playpen. Two closed bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other bedroom with a bunk bed (double bed downstairs and single bed upstairs) and sofa bed in the living room. Ideal accommodation near Lachute if you are there for vacations, shows, tournaments, business... Access to the lake a minute walk from the cottage which is great for swimming and kayaking (there are 2 available at the cottage). It is very pleasant to walk around it, it is a short hike of about fifteen minutes. Another lake is nearby, going around the 2 lakes is a hike of about 45 minutes. Kitchen very well equipped kitchen, large living room with wood fireplace. Telecommuting area in the living room. Unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, Chromecast connected to the TV to project the contents of your cell phone, DVD player and several movies available for the whole family, PS2 console with several games, meditation CD books, yoga DVDs and mats, board games. Outdoor terrace with mosquito net, BBQ and campfire area (a quantity of wood is provided). Non-Smoking ChaletNon-smoking cottage and one dog is allowed. Within 20 minutes there are several shops: Maxi, IGA, SAQ, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Dollarama, pharmacies etc. as well as fast food chains. On Principale Street in Lachute, several restaurants, bars, brasseries and shops.
Monthly rental possible: Low season: $2000/month (January to May, October to December) or $1800 if more than 3 consecutive months. High season $3000/month (June to September).
Check-in and check-out times are: check-in at 4:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m. We are flexible for check-in and check-out times if there are no other rentals on the same day.
A 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking. The other 50% and a $500 security deposit will be required 48 hours prior to your stay. The security deposit will be returned within 5 days of your departure after the cottage inspection.

A baby stroller is available on site upon request. Large sleds and saucers are available on site in winter. Small beach a minute walk from the cottage with crystal clear water and sandy bottom. | Nous avons passé un mois cet été au Chalet Shanti
Nous avons loué plusieurs chalet depuis les 15 dernières années et le Chalet Shanti est l'endroit le plus agréable que nous avons visité. Il y a quelques choses de magique à cet endroit. L'intimité de l'endroit est garantie. La forêt diversifiée avec ses immenses cèdres, sapins, épinettes, feuillus variés remplis de senteurs. Un endroit où les animaux de la nature viennent gentiment à notre rencontre. Les tortues, colibris, geais bleus, les petits suisses, même des jeunes chevreuils qui sont venus nous saluer dans une balade en forêt et j'en passe. Le lac d'eau de source était magnifique pour la baignade, la clairière du chalet parfaite pour admirer le ciel étoilé, les feux de camps ou simplement passer du bon temps en bonnes compagnies dans le confortable gazebos. Nous avons aussi vraiment apprécié les marches autours du lac et les sentiers adjacents. Les gens que nous avons rencontré étaient vraiment gentils et charmants. On nous a fait sentir les bienvenues. Le chalet rustique en bois rond décoré avec soins offre tout le confort moderne. Une cuisine très bien équipée, les matelas confortables et Johanne à penser à tout. Les jeux de société, les cd détente, le coin travail tout est parfait vraiment. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les services de supermarché, et autres à Lachute à 5-7km. Tout y est dans cette petite ville. Nous y retournerons définitivement. Merci Johanne pour ta disponibilité et ta gentillesse.

| Ma femme, mes deux enfants et moi-même avons loué ce magnifique chalet à l'occasion d'un tournoi de hockey de l'équipe de mon fils. Quelle surprise ! L'endroit était si tranquille et paradisiaque. Situé à seulement 12 minutes de l'aréna, nous n'aurions pas pu demander mieux.
Le chalet comprenait absolument tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour cuisiner, nous détendre et passer un excellent week-end. Les enfants se sont amusés comme des fous avec leurs coéquipiers ! Ils ont eu l'occasion de faire des feux dans le foyer, de glisser à l'extérieur et de jouer à la Playstation. Il y avait même une petite patinoire sur le lac voisin !
Tout au long de notre séjour, nos hôtes ont largement dépassé nos attentes et ont répondu à toutes nos questions et à tous nos besoins. Nous serions ravis de revenir dans ce chalet si l'occasion se présentait ! Un grand merci à Johanne et Christian, vous êtes formidables !
