Cancellation policy:
Reimbursement of 70% of the total amount for the stay, up to 30 days before the beginning of the stay.
After this date, if the Lessor is able to re-let the same period, he will be able to reimburse the Lessee. Chalets Des Bois S.E.N.C. targets a clientele returning to stay at The Great Bear.

COVID CLAUSE: In the event of confinement with prohibited travel and you are unable to go to the cottage, the stay is 100% refundable, except for a management fee.

Our group of 11 spent a wonderful week at The Great Bear. The cottage is very well suited for large groups, with a great supply of dinner and glassware, and pots and pans. There was also generous food storage with 2 good sized pantries and lots of empty drawers and cupboards to store our groceries as well as 3 fridges (LOVED those). Also lliked the traffic flow in the kitchen that allowed several people to be cooking or cleaning up and still have room to manoeuvre around easily. The cottage is nestled in an area with lots of trees that provided privacy from the cottage next door. We had a bit of trouble with the hot tub not fully functioning (one of the pumps was being replaced) but it was still useable and much enjoyed. If your children like jumping off a dock, the water is deep to safely jump too. The oven ran hot so a couple of things we tried baking burned on the bottom until we got the hang of adjusting the temperature. Lots of beds to accommodate our group as well. The hosts were accessible and very attentive to our requests. One of our group had mobility issues and found the # of stairs to the dock a bit challenging … everyone else had no problem. Suggestion to the owner would be to consider adding to the size of the dock to accommodate a larger seating area with more chairs. I highly recommend The Great Bear to those looking for a private setting for a large group.

Excellent séjour au chalet La Grande Ourse.
Tout était prévu pour accueillir confortablement un groupe de 12 à 14 personnes. La cuisine était spacieuse et bien équipée, parfaite pour préparer des grillades en groupe. Le foyer extérieur offrait une belle vue sur le lac, et le lac lui-même était magnifique; idéal pour nos escapades en kayak. Les chambres étaient chaleureuses et confortables. Le spa et la table de poker ont aussi été des coups de coeur pour notre groupe !
À mon avis, ce chalet offre l'un des meilleurs rapports qualité prix pour un groupe de cette taille. On a tous adoré notre séjour.
On espère revenir bientôt!

Très beau chalet super bien équipé. Beaucoup de jeux sur place, table de pool un peu à l'étroit, mais ça donne une bonne excuse quand on n'est pas bons...Le bois de foyer est fourni, super en hiver. Nous reviendrons certainement.
