| Interior of house nice, but disappointed overall. Read fine print: not a private, secluded property - dock is shared! Woken on first morning by 10+ people in driveway and yard who said they were entitled to be there because their rental gave access to a shared dock. Owner confirmed this (info hidden at end of house information), but they were supposed to go through another laneway, not middle of property. Communication with owner was strained, unprofessional, unpleasant. Initially cordial (if unhelpful) when we told him about loud party house nearby at 1:00 a.m. (same group crossing property next morning). We were disappointed by noise and lack of privacy and wanted to cancel 3rd night and get refund, but he stuck to policy and refused. We also expressed disappointment about lack of transparency and how it took several searches of listing to locate info about shared dock; his reply: “I don't design the website.” Other shortcomings: water filter did not work and made loud noise, hot tub was old and had parts missing. Also huge amount of goose droppings on dock; maybe not owner's fault, but could be better cleaned before arrival (we did not see a single goose while there, so I don't think the droppings were new.) Overall, it's the kind of house that is on the market to make easy money without a lot of attention to detail or flexibility and empathy from owner. Beware of loud rental properties nearby and be prepared to share the outdoor space. We left before our final night.
