Loon Landing - rustic waterfront cottage on 31 Mile Lake

Welcome to Loon Landing, a place for families and friends to come together, enjoy nature and make memories. A family-owned cottage since the 1950s, Loon Landing is a rustic building with modern amenities combined with hints of antique charm.

Loon Landing is at the north end of 31 Mile Lake near Maniwaki, QC, a lake known for its clean water and excellent fishing. The cottage itself is nestled lakeside facing east, surrounded by forest and offers spectacular water, sky and forest views.

The cottage has 5 bedrooms, providing sleeping space for 8 people. There is a large common room with a woodstove and dining table, and a separate smaller lounge area. The full length screened-in porch adds lots of extra living space. Loon Landing has a fully equipped kitchen, a modest 3 piece bath, onsite laundry and high-speed internet, providing urban comforts so you can maximize your time to enjoy cottage life. The village of Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau is a 10 minute drive and has a corner store open 7 days a week.

Loon Landing is situated right on the water with a long boardwalk and floating dock. It has easy lake access for swimming (shallow water but no beach), boating and waterplay. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows, or simply for gathering to enjoy a campfire under the stars.

If you like hiking, explore the near-by Chute Rouge trails. If you prefer the water, the lake is excellent for paddling and exploring its many islands. A public boat-launch is minutes away if you bring your own boat, or our non-motorized boats are available to use.
