This one-and-a-half-story chalet will be completely renovated with sustainability in mind in 2024-2025. It can accommodate 6 people with its 3 bedrooms (see full description below), a bathroom, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room surrounded by a stone fireplace.
You'll step into this magnificent chalet, built in the 1970s by Clément and Gemma Lajoie (our parents and grandparents). Chalet Lajoie sits directly on the rocks bordering the St. Lawrence River. From the Canadian wood frame to the Kamouraska stone for the interior fireplace, you'll enjoy a warm and inviting space to feel the power of the St. Lawrence River. Come and experience unique sunsets night after night.
We want to offer you an environment connected to nature, a place where water, wind, fauna and flora rock us peacefully, a place where silences accompany us in our thoughts, a place where shared laughter resonates gently, a place where life is good and where you will keep pure memories. From this great crossing of geese in autumn and spring, to these high tides which hit our shores or to this formation of this great ice floe, this natural power can flow through your veins.
We also hope that those who visit will respect these moments and allow other residents to maintain this natural calm.
Brief description of Chalet Lajoie:
Chalet address: 324 rue de la Grève, St-Vallier de Bellechasse.
1st floor: 1 kitchen, 1 dining room, 1 living room with fireplace, 1 master bedroom (queen bed), 1 bathroom
2nd floor: 2 bedrooms in the mezzanine separated by a wall (they are not closed allowing a view of the River)
Chalet for up to 6 people.
The chalet has 3 bedrooms: 1 closed bedroom (1 queen bed) and 2 semi-closed bedrooms (1 double bed/bedroom) including bedding.
All kitchen equipment with dishwasher.
Bathroom: shower, washer and dryer.
Water fountain (we don't drink the tap water, but use it for cooking and bathroom use)
High-speed internet and a smart TV (so you can use your tablet/cell phone/computer or internet to connect to your workstations/platforms with your accounts)
Indoor gas fireplace.

Check-in time: 4 p.m. and check-out time: 11 a.m.
Safety: The chalet is located on the riverbank (rock cape) and there is a lake on the property. Your safety and that of your companions are your responsibility.
Electric terminal: availability of an electric terminal (level 2) on request and additional costs (300 meters from the chalet).
The owners of Chalet Lajoie live in the village of Saint-Vallier, 500m from Chalet Lajoie.
