La p'tite acadienne
A place to stay and, above all, experience Acadia as a family with young children.
Background:
La p'tite acadienne is currently getting a makeover, but this year it will keep its crooked, creaky second-floor floors. Well, not too unsettling for Montrealers and their century-old homes, you might say.
-Layout:
-First floor: 2 bedrooms upstairs—1 for 2 adults and the other for 2 children
(but the entire house can sleep 4)
Living area: 861 square feet (hence “La P'tite Acadienne”)
Ground floor: open-concept living room and kitchen
-Parking: just 2 immediate neighbors
-Availability: year-round.
-Non-smoking.
-Small dog, possibly allowed.
Your typical day:
pack for the beach, go for a walk, stop for coffee at Maris Stella, walk to the beach with a drink in hand, sit on a great lounge chair under a palm tree, go for a swim or walk along the beach, head to the snack bar when you get a little hungry, take a short nap, shower on-site, pack up your things and get ready to head back to La Petite Acadienne, walk home to drop off your things, and go eat at the restaurants at Carrefour de la Mer, a ten-minute drive away. And the next day, do it all over again.
