Welcome to Refuge Chez Joe, a cabin full of authentic character, nestled in the heart of the forest in Saint-Lucien, in the beautiful Centre-du-Québec region.
Here, life naturally slows down. Surrounded by the Nicolet Sud-Ouest River, mature woodlands and the soothing sounds of nature, it's the perfect place to unwind, reconnect and enjoy quality time with the people who matter most.
Ideally located between Drummondville, Victoriaville, Trois-Rivières and Sherbrooke, Refuge Chez Joe offers the tranquility of a secluded nature retreat while remaining close to essential services and a wide variety of attractions. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway, an inspiring place to work remotely or an outdoor adventure, you'll find the perfect balance of comfort and nature.
Accommodating up to 6 guests (with the possibility of hosting up to 8 guests for an additional fee), the cabin features three bedrooms spread over two levels. The primary bedroom upstairs includes a King bed, a single sofa bed and a dedicated workspace complete with a monitor, making it ideal for remote work. Two additional bedrooms with double beds are located on the lower level, along with two full bathrooms. The cabin also offers a functional kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, high-speed fibre Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and an electric vehicle charging station.
Outside, you'll enjoy a furnished deck, a charcoal BBQ (charcoal provided), a wood-burning fire pit, and easy access to the Nicolet Sud-Ouest River, located about 100 metres from the cabin. A canoe is available for exploring the river, while nearby trails are perfect for hiking, cycling and snowshoeing throughout the seasons. Nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of local wildlife, with frequent sightings of herons, kingfishers, deer, turtles and birds of prey.
The surrounding area offers plenty to discover. Explore the Saint-Lucien Nature Trail, the Village Québécois d'Antan, Parc Marie-Victorin, Plein Air Drummond, the Promenade Rivia in Drummondville, as well as local farms, public markets and agri-tourism attractions. During the winter months, you'll also find cross-country ski trails, Mont Gleason and many outdoor activities just a short drive away.
Whether you're sipping your morning coffee on the deck, paddling along the river, gathering around the fireplace or simply admiring the star-filled sky far from the city lights, Refuge Chez Joe offers the perfect setting to slow down, recharge and create lasting memories.
