Wishing you could disconnect and truly relax?
Here's my little nest: a self-built cottage over a 12-year labour where many items have found refuge and been given a second life.
From the shower walls made of repurposed metal roofing, to the cozy mezzanine where a futon mattress, cushions, a blanket and a lamp are waiting for you to read quietly or simply unwind; from the well-equipped kitchen, featuring repurposed kitchen cabinets and bedroom desks transformed into kitchen drawers, to the bedrooms furnished with well-loved and carefully maintained family furniture that makes them both functional and cozy. In the living room, settle into the old — but incredibly comfortable — leather El-Ran sofa, light a fire, and enjoy some music (from the sound system: turntable, cassette and radio, or via wifi) while you deeply relax.
And outside...
Relax on the covered balcony while cooking on the BBQ or sip your morning coffee in one of the old but comfy rocking chairs. Take in the forest surrounding you and the river at the end of the property.
The swing has also been given a refresh - the perfect spot to admire the magnificent sunsets by the fire. And if you feel like getting a little more active, there are hiking trails to explore, you can take a refreshing swim in the river, or head out for a kayak adventure.
Just like my little cottage, I hope Ayana gives you the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy some quality time to renew your energy.
