The property is located 15 minutes from Thetford Mines, about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Quebec City, and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Montreal. Just a few steps away, you'll find the golf club and a wide variety of outdoor activities. You can enjoy downhill skiing, alpine touring, golf, mountain biking, snowshoeing, tubing, or cross-country skiing—all within walking distance! Additionally, the snowmobile trail runs just three houses away, allowing you to access the property directly from your vehicle. In Thetford Mines, you can visit Les Haldes microbrewery as well as the impressive KB3 Mining Museum. Nearby, a scenic 45-minute walk along a beautiful forest stream leads you to the base of giant, 98-meter-tall wind turbines. The area also features a vibrant turquoise lake popular for scuba diving, alongside unique mine tailings offering almost moonlike landscapes. On rainy days, you can try indoor rock climbing, relax at the Noah Spa, or catch a movie at the vintage Pigalle cinema. Calling all hikers: beyond the many trails on Mount Adstock, the renowned 3 Monts trail network in Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine is only a 30-minute drive away (https:/ /www.3monts.ca/).
Just a 7-minute drive away lies the Saint-Daniel sector of the Parc National de la Frontenac (SÉPAQ), which is also reachable directly by bike from the chalet via a dedicated cycle path. Once there, you can walk through a peatland on wooden boardwalks and relax on natural or landscaped beaches along Grand Lac Saint-François, complete with lifeguards. The park also offers various watercraft rentals (pedal boats, kayaks, paddleboards), a volleyball court, picnic tables, and children's play areas.
