Come and enjoy your stay as we would like to share our cozy rustic waterfront cottage 10 feet from the water's edge. Relish the breathtaking lake and mountain views from either the patio or living room.
The glistening lake is spring fed (no blue-green algae) and ideal for various activities such as swimming (especially for those with children as the slope is very gradual), snorkeling, fishing our perch and smallmouth bass, canoeing, kayaking or a pedalo ride (no gas motors allowed on this lake). The water is crisp and crystal clear (see your toes from neck level).
Wildlife is abundant therefore excellent for the devoted photographers (wild turkeys, moose, whitetail deer, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.......and countless species of birds including heron feeding along the lake, turkey vultures, hawks, osprey and if fortuitous you can get a glimpse of a bald eagle soaring over the mountain. Sit back from either inside or out (maybe you prefer the hammock) and enjoy nature at it's very best with its incredible lake and mountain views or simply close your eyes and relax with the sounds of the birds chirping or chipmunks racing amongst the leaves.
During those cool nights, rainy days or snowy afternoons light a fire in the wood stove and maybe enjoy your preferred beverage and relax..........
The cottage is located in Potton, 10 minutes from the Owl's Head ski (family hill) and golf course (prestige golf course) where you can challenge the slopes or make that birdie putt while enjoying the spectacular views of either location.
Locations to enjoy:
-Golf or ski: Sutton, Jay Peak or Mount Orford all within a half hour of the cottage
-Water park and ice rink at Jay Peak
-Scenic towns within 30 minutes which include Knowlton, Magog (fantastic restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, cafes, stores, ice cream parlours, desserts, bike paths, spas and more......
-Mansonville is 10 minutes away (exquisite bakery- , metro, SAQ, restaurants,etc...
-Granby zoo, karting and survival paintball are also available (within 30 minutes from the cottage)
To end the day we (Paul & Mary) suggest you sit outside and enjoy the spectacular stars while enjoying marshmallows around a perfect campfire.
Public boat launch available (Lake Memphremagog) for those with motorized boats or jet skis (8 min)
We are centrally located just 10 minutes from Owl's Head Ski and Golf and within 30 minutes from Jay Peak and its 50,000-square-foot indoor water park known as the Pump House, Mount Orford, Ski Sutton, Magog and the charming village of Knowlton. In Knowlton you'll discover antique stores, boutiques, cafes and great restaurants. If you need some last minute groceries, within a 5 minute drive you can stop in at the Jewitt's General store or drive 10 minutes to Mansonville where you will find everything you need. Granby Zoo and the water park at Bromont are only 40 minutes away. Need some pampering; the famous Bolton Fall's Spa is only 15 minutes away.
