| Un véritable havre de paix au cœur de la nature ! Le chalet est exceptionnel, niché parmi les arbres avec un accès privé à la rivière qui ajoute une touche magique au séjour. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par une atmosphère délicieusement parfumée — tout sentait extrêmement bon, ce qui a immédiatement renforcé notre sentiment de bien-être.
Le confort est au rendez-vous : le canapé et le lit que nous avons utilisés étaient d'un moelleux remarquable, parfaits pour se détendre après une journée au bord de l'eau. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans d'autres locations agréables, mais aucune n'a égalé le niveau de confort et de soin apporté à celle-ci.
Tout est impeccablement propre, fonctionnel et pensé dans les moindres détails. La propriétaire est d'une gentillesse rare, toujours disponible et réactive, que ce soit avant ou pendant la réservation. Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable, et nous recommandons ce lieu les yeux fermés.

| I truly wanted to give this chalet a 5-star rating. The location is peaceful and beautiful, the cabin is well-equipped, and the booking process was smooth. Unfortunately, I can't give more than 1 star due to the presence and the owner's response.
Over the course of the week, we trapped three mice inside the chalet — two on sticky pads, one on a snap trap. There were droppings in drawers, a persistent foul smell (especially under the sink and in the bathroom and smaller rooom), and loud nighttime activity that disturbed our sleep. We had to move a mattress into the larger room to escape the worst of it. This went far beyond the occasional “mouse in nature.”
It also appeared to be a known issue — professional-grade exterminator traps were already set in key locations when we arrived - of which we were not given notice and had our pet. After our stay, the owner denied the problem, claimed there were no traps (which were on hand already such as sticky pads and snap traps that we used and left in the garbage), and offered no apology or compensation. This was especially disappointing given how respectful and cooperative we were throughout.
If the mice are fully addressed, I would genuinely consider returning — the setting is lovely. But for now, guests should be aware: cleanliness and health were a concern during our stay, and our concerns were dismissed.

Habituellement, les clients apprécient grandement leur visite au Secret bien Gardé. Cela dit, je comprends que voir un mulot à l'intérieur d'une habitation puisse être surprenant. Malheureusement, dans notre environnement de forêt dense et de cours d'eau, il est très difficile d'éviter complètement cette situation. Les pièges que j'achète à la quincaillerie et que je place moi-même dans le chalet sont à titre préventif et sont disposés à des endroits stratégiques, difficilement accessibles pour les enfants et les animaux. Vous ne m'aviez pas informée que vous veniez avec des animaux domestiques, bien que la politique soit « animaux sous restrictions », ce qui implique que le propriétaire doit en être informé. Je n'ai donc pas pu vous prévenir de la présence des pièges. La femme de ménage qui est passée dès votre départ n'a remarqué aucune odeur nauséabonde ni traces de rongeurs. Les clients qui sont partis le matin de votre arrivée n'ont rien signalé de tel. Après votre séjour, je suis moi-même restée au chalet quatre jours avec ma famille et nous n'avons rien constaté de ce que vous décrivez. Cela me porte à croire que la présence d'un ou deux mulots durant votre séjour est un événement, bien que regrettable, isolé, et je conclus donc qu'il n'y a heureusement pas d'infestation. Ceci dit, j'ai tout de même pris votre commentaire au sérieux et j'ai effectué une inspection détaillée du chalet. J'ai bouché quelques trous qui auraient pu être la cause de l'infiltration de ce mulot. | When I was driving to the cabin in the woods I was already taken a-back by the amount of nature and greenery around. The cabin in the woods as I came to call it was so perfect, it was cute and had just about every quintessential aspect of a cabin that I could think of. The fireplace out back and the complete privacy; you couldn't even see the surrounding properties.
Inside, the cabin was beautiful, very light and open but having all of the necessary amenities and very clean as well. At night it was all so quiet and dark. It was beautiful.
The owner had put some mouse traps and poison out but that is to be expected in a house in the woods. I grew up on the river and everyone dealt with rats and cockroaches. Some places have alligators, some have mice.
Absolutely stunning river view and access. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

| Pour notre part ca feras bientot 3 sejours que nous avons reserves avec Sophie. La tranquilite et l'intimite de son chalet nous as charme.Entoure de nature c'est vraiment un secret bien garde et peut facilement acceuillir 4 adultes.Toujours propre et bien approvisionne avec tout ce que vous aurai besoin. Facile d'acces pour s'y rendre environ 1:30 de Montreal et proche de Mont-Tremblant. Si vous cherchez un endroit pour vraiment vous reposer loin de la ville c'est le chalet pour vous.
